All new customers are required to permit us taking a copy of their driving licence, and completing a new customer account form which includes documenting the make, model and registration of their motorcycle, scooter, trike or quad. We also require a contact number and email address – of which we assure you, we will NOT SPAM out promotional emails. If agreed, we can add you to our offers and discounts list – only on your approval.

Once completed, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign, as will the customer. Lizzie will then create a customer account on the system and store the paper copy in your file, permitting future discounts and benefits as we grow.

Once the registration process is complete, the inducting trainer / mentor will then proceed to show you where the toilets, fire extinguishers, fire exits, call points and first aid are located. Pretty simple and quick as we’re an open plan spacious garage, supported by professional and friendly mechanics and staff. Once completed and understood, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign off, as will the customer.

Totally Spanners provides our customers with FREE use of overalls, gloves, professional motorcycle mechanic barrier cream and hand cleaner, located near every workstation. Once understood, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign off, as will the customer.

We also provide our customers with FREE tea and coffee, with an Urn ready to use located in our kitchen area. For customers that have booked half day and full day workstation hire we will provide you a menu of which you can select various snacks, rolls and baguettes. We have a small seating area available for customers to take a break and grab a bite to eat. Once shown, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign off, as will the customer.

Totally Spanners is located in within Hillington Park, which is a rubbish free business complex. Meaning, we have to dispose of our own rubbish, waste and unwanted parts. Obviously there will be parts for disposal at times, which we take responsibility for. Our customers are responsible for not dropping rubbish around the place and putting in the allocated bins, available in the garage. Once shown and understood, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign off, as will the customer.

As smokers and e cig users ourselves, we know the need for nicotine! Customers that are smokers or e cig users must smoke outside the garage in the allocated location. All cigarettes must be disposed of in the flip-lid sand bucket located in the smoking area. Once shown and understood, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign off, as will the customer.

All new customers will be shown all available professional motorcycle workstation tools and tool use. We know how easy it is to simply just be on autopilot and put a tool in your tool belt or pocket. We conduct tool checks to make sure everything is returned, present and correct after each workstation hire. We also know how expensive tools and equipment are, should it be broken in use, the customer using is liable for the cost of replacement. At the moment we are not taking returnable deposits on top of workstation hire. Mainly because we want to try and keep it simple and keep costs down for our customers and be as accessible as possible, for everyone. Once shown and understood, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign off, as will the customer.

Totally Spanners provide motorcycle ramps, a scooter and 125 ramp, a trike ramp and various motorcycle stands.  Customers will be shown how to get their motorcycle onto the ramp or stand, followed by how the motorcycle ramps operate. It is a garage requirement that all motorcycles are secured to the ramps when elevated using the ratchet straps provided. Once shown and understood, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign off, as will the customer.

Totally Spanners provides a range of motorcycle parts refurbishment equipment including; Parts Washer, Shot Blaster and Ultrasonic Cleaner. Customers will be shown how to use the equipment, should you not feel comfortable we’re on hand to do it for you. Please be aware should equipment be broken in use, the customer using is liable for the cost of replacement. All equipment is brand new and will continually be maintained, checked and PAT tested to ensure its not liable to break due to general wear and tear. Once shown and understood, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign off, as will the customer.

Totally Spanners also has available a range of professional motorcycle air tools. All customers wishing to use air tools will be shown how they work, should customers not feel confident, we’re on hand to support. Please bear in mind, should air tools be broken in use, the customer using is liable for the cost of replacement. All tools and equipment is brand new, and will continually be tested and maintained to ensure they are not likely to break due to general wear and tear.  Once shown and understood, the inducting trainer / mentor will sign off, as will the customer.
